Top 5 Black Friday Deals That Will Save You Money on Your Wedding

I'm not going to lie - Black Friday isn't my favorite. Long lines, crazy people, waking up EARLY. But when it comes to big ticket items that you need (appliances, new TV), Black Friday can actually be a great way to save some cash. Wedding needs are no exception. Here are the top 5 things to get on Black Friday for your wedding.

1. Wedding Video

For all those couples out there who are unsure if they want video for your wedding, Black Friday is perfect! Video is the #1 thing couples regret not getting for their wedding, and Black Friday means you can get a good deal. For example, my company (Acquainted Wedding Productions) is giving away a free Instagram Video plus USB Drive. Websites like WeddingWire even let you customize your search for vendors offering deals near you.

2. Wedding Invites

Sites such as Minted (code: WEDNEW), Paper Source, and VistaPrint (code: BESTDEALS) are offering discounts. Invitations are one of those expensive necessities. Not only are the cards themselves expensive, but then there's postage on top of that. Save some money AND do it all from the comfort of your couch - that's what makes this a perfect Black Friday purchase.

3. Favors

This is the perfect time to stock up on favors. Check out places like Target, Walmart, and Costco to buy your favors in bulk. Think wine glasses, mason jars, scarves (winter weddings anyone?). Scan Pinterest to get some ideas if you haven't decided what to do yet.

4. Bridal Party Gifts

Etsy, aka my go-to shop for personalized gifts, has Cyber Week Sales! YES! So take this opportunity to get some cute personalized gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen. Some fun things on sale: mugs, jewelry, cosmetic bags, Christmas ornaments, and beer flight glass sets (who doesn't like a good beer flight?).

5. Shoes

DSW, Macy's, and even Amazon are having big sales on shoes. Shoes are a pretty classic "Black Friday" item, so most places will be having a sale. If you don't want to get into fisticuffs, you can always browse online to beat the rush.

Just Remember: If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Like anything in life - whether a Black Friday sale or that free cruise you never remember signing up for - people will try to scam you with a "too good to be true" deal. Use your brain! Quality is much more important that just getting a low price. Things to look out for: online wedding dresses. Unless you are ordering them for a reputable site (like the ones listed on our wedding dress blog post), then do NOT buy.
